14 March 2006: £5,000 raised for Fistula Hospital
Yorkshire Euro-MP, Linda McAvan has thanked all those people who made her fundraising dinner last Thursday for the Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital such a success. In total, more than £5,500 was raised. The Wakefield dinner, which also celebrated International Women's Day, was attended by more than a hundred women from around Yorkshire and the Humber. Doncaster MP and Health Minister Rosie Winterton spoke at the dinner, as did Clive Hewitt, a representative of the charity.
