2nd June 2008 - "Know before you go": European rights for European football fans

Local Euro-MP Linda McAvan is urging any football fans heading off to Austria and Switzerland for the European Championships to take advantage of a booklet produced by the EU and UEFA reminding them of things to know before heading off.

The booklet, which is available online or from Linda McAvan's office lists ten things to check: from keeping the EU consumer helpline number (00 800 6 7 8 9 10 11) in your phone, to knowing the 112 Europe-wide emergency number, making sure travellers have a healthcard, or how to claim if there are problems with flights.
